Roots is a story I wrote about a man (me) who was raised in church from a baby and lost his way when he got older. After escaping from prison, during the chase he has a vision of how his life was when he was a child. Remembering his family and church, the day he got into trouble, and all the times the Lord had come to him over the years trying to get him to return to his Roots. After he was released from prison in his fifties, he continued running from God for a few more years until he couldn’t take it no more, so he hit his knees and cried out for forgiveness. God hears him and saves his soul and he becomes a gospel singer and spends the rest of his days working for the lord.
